Over the last year, we read so many great books with movie companions. The Roald Dahl streak was a favorite, and we all loved Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! We loved the book so much, we started to give it as birthday presents to many of our friends. The book is just SO good! The original Willy Wonka Movie is very similar to the book.
I’ve been reading chapter books aloud to my kiddos since they were about 2 and 4. (They are never too young to start!) I’ve been flexible with how we do it. I read while waiting for the doctor, while the kids play lego, at the pool, during lunch, and even sometimes snuggled on the couch together. Just start! This is your encouragement to just start the big chapter books now and see what happens!
