Finding very early illustrated chapter books can be a challenge. In Esme’s Birthday Conga Line, the formula repeats in the best way. Esme invites each neighbor to her birthday party, and everyone contributes something to the celebration. Together they form a joyful “Birthday Conga Line” that winds through the building and straight into the party.
Esme herself is the real delight—bright, kind, and endlessly friendly. Her personality shines through every page, making the “topmost best building” feel like a place you want to visit again and again.
