The Parables and Wisdom of Jesus: Go and Do Likewise! By John Hendrix for Abrams Books for Young Readers. This book is a follow-up to Miracle Man. It is a wonderful illustration of many of the parables Jesus taught pulled from the gospels. There are notes in the back that reference scripture and the author’s approach to retelling the parables in an approachable way in this picture book for children.
I personally love how the author combines the words of Jesus with the illustrations. It adds gravity and whimsy to the words and brings them to life in a new way.
This is a great addition to your home library and I think books about Jesus always make for great gifts too. My daughter got this one for her birthday this year!
