The Illustrated Robert Frost 25 Essential Poems edited by Ryan G. Van Cleave for Bushel & Peck Books is a collection of poems that will speak to your soul as you share them with your family.

I love sharing poetry with my kids. Many children’s books are just illustrated poems after all. Yet, at some point, it feels amazing to introduce my children to the classics and greats like Robert Frost.

What I love most about this book is how accessible it is. The poems are short and each one includes interactive questions including an “engage”, “imagine”, and “define” section. The editor engages you in the poem by asking a few thought-provoking questions. Then you can imagine something new from the poem, and lastly, the book defines words that may be unfamiliar to the reader.

If you are a homeschool parent and want to do a unit on poetry, this would be a great addition to your curriculum.

 Ages: 7-10

Themes: Poetry, Robert Frost, Beauty, Nature
