Funny story, I saw this post on instagram of a book store on a truck. (@cincybookbus) I thought the idea was so delightful. I have been enchanted by libraries and bookmobiles, but a little bookstore filled with safe books for kids sounds like a dream occupation! I would love to travel around and sell books to kids! Or better yet give them away! Do any publishers want to work with me on that?!?!?!
I started to make a coloring page of my little bus doodle and got a message from @mudpieswithsprinkles to look up this book, Moose’s Book Bus. I, of course, loved this book! It’s a sweet story about a Moose who loved to tell stories to his family. When he ran out of stories he had to go find a book. After visiting the town library, his whole village came to listen to the stories Moose had to share. The story evolves into all the village animals learning to read and sharing books and stories. It’s just a beautiful story! I loved it soooo much.
I love the value of family time, taking care of neighbors, community, reading, and the library of course!
