What I like about this book is that it reminds me so much of my kids. My son was obsessed with the moon, stars, and planets as a preschooler. He always knew what phase the moon was in, which planets were visible, and even a few constellations. Unfortunately, he did grow out of that phase. So reading this with my daughter was a whole new experience for her. Even though we were tucked in bed reading we couldn’t help but get up and go outside to see what phase the moon was in and where it was! We saw that the full moon was a few weeks away and we looked forward to it!

What I appreciated about this book is the bond between mother and daughter, the factual information given, and the special activities at the end of the book. I think this book would be appropriate for ages 3-8.
