There are so many resources that are available through public libraries. I know they aren’t all the same but here is a sampling of the things my family has checked out of the library:
Books, Music, DVDs, Playaways (portable audiobook players for kids!), board games, puzzles, book and toy bags, Vox Read-Aloud Picture Books, Musical Instruments (Ukelele), Science activity kits including robotics activities and coding toys, online art classes available through creative bug and Lynda, online magazines, and there is more!

Also, I used Stabilo Woody 3-1 colors and we LOVE LOVE LOVE these at our house. They feel like a nice chunky crayon when coloring, but you can use them as watercolors too by adding water and a paintbrush! They also work on windows and dry-erase boards, just use water to clean up. We use these exclusively on our big family whiteboard calendar. They are the best! Even I use them for watercolor painting!
