Sometimes coming home is the best part of leaving. After a business trip away I know that coming home to my family is definitely the best part!

There are so many reasons to love this book. Best friends, fairytale references, adventure, storytelling, loyalty, and contentment. Fern and Otto live a beautifully simple life filled with a warm house, nourishing food, gentle music, and naps. Today that wasn’t enough for Otto and they set off to find an adventure. After wandering through a forest filled with fairytale characters, they realize that maybe their life at home is the best adventure of all.

I love the art style and sweet illustrations. The cute bear and cat friends remind me of Calico Critters and their tree house is similar to the one we have for our critters too. This would be a fun one to act out with our toys!
